Epoxy Live! Student Design Competition 2026
Epoxy Live is a national student design competition and live demonstration event celebrating creativity, material innovation, and craftsmanship in resinous flooring design.
Guided by professional designers, each team develops a flooring concept for a themed space (think theme park store, children’s hospital hallways, or interactive splash-pads) from a variety of resinous flooring systems.

Form, Function & Fabrication: 3D Printing with Massive Possibilities
Join AIA Orlando for an exclusive look inside MassiveMAKE, Central Florida’s hub for large-format additive manufacturing and design. This event will feature a guided tour of their Orlando facility, where you’ll see advanced 3D printing technology in action, explore the production floor, and experience firsthand the architectural elements, furniture, and immersive projects brought to life through their process.
Alongside the tour, guests will enjoy food and refreshments while networking with MassiveMAKE’s team of designers, engineers, and fabricators. The evening will also include a continuing education presentation providing CEU credit, where participants will gain a deeper understanding of the full 3D printing workflow—from design to fabrication—and its applications in architecture, construction, and themed environments.

Material Matters: Architectural Finishes in Practice
In collaboration with multiple Schools of Architecture, this one-of-a-kind educational experience brings together architecture students, design professionals, and material experts for a deeper, hands-on understanding of how materials shape the built environment.
This immersive program will expose emerging architects to a wide array of materials and finishes, exploring how they are specified, applied, and experienced in real-world projects. Whether in homes, hospitals, resorts, or entertainment venues, materials are the touchpoints of design—and this exposé is about unlocking their creative and technical potential.
The program will be held September 2–5, running 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM daily at Select Surface Solutions in Orlando, FL, a premier resource for decorative and restorative materials. Morning coffee and lunch will be provided each day.
With only 40 spots available—20 for students and 20 for sponsoring professionals—this unique collaboration fosters mentorship and innovation. We are currently accepting applications using the form below, and by August 25, all attendees and scholarship recipients will be selected and announced. Further details on attire and parking will be provided to confirmed participants.
